This Old House

Some time ago, one of my aunts in Portland, Oregon approached me with an idea. My entire extended family had been saddened to learn that the ancestral home, which had sheltered all twelve 'siblings' for so long, had been sold and was scheduled for demolition. Living close by, she had taken it upon herself to try to save photos, odd items, and even parts of the structure itself for the sake of remembering. My contribution to the project was to go through some photos I had taken of the property and to give them an aged look. Later they wood be displayed on panes of glass on a window frame taken from the old house. I was very sad to hear it had finally been demolished- my many cousins and I have endless fond memories of this house, and of course, it all started with twelve brothers and sisters and their parents all sharing this little old house.
